Food safety is a global concern, not only because of its importance to public health but also because of its impact on international trade. In this context, Sigmaplast is deeply committed to food safety, becoming the first Ecuadorian company producing flexible packaging to obtain FSSC 22000 certification, guaranteeing the safety management of its produced packaging.

Sigmaplast has implemented this standard for over 14 years, which has allowed us to increase customer satisfaction by addressing their needs. We have also achieved increased productivity after the initial evaluation and the subsequent process improvements that occur during its implementation, as well as improved employee training and qualifications.

Threats in global trade are a situation that should not be ignored. Risk is a constant for any company, regardless of its size or reputation, as it can arise at any stage of the process. That's why Sigmaplast has sought out the appropriate tools to implement control and prevention measures throughout the entire national and international physical distribution chain, such as BASC – Business Alliance for Secure Commerce.

Sigmaplast is part of SEDEX, an international non-profit membership organization that simplifies doing business for the benefit of all. One of its core principles is SMETA , one of the most widely used social audit procedures in the world. It assesses the activities of responsible supply chains, including labor rights, health and safety, the environment, and business ethics.

Sigmaplast conveys the pride of being Ecuadorian through the use of the ECUADOR LOVES LIFE logo on our export products. Companies authorized to use this logo are characterized by their high quality and added value, as they are subject to social responsibility, which sets them apart from their competitors. This represents an opportunity to enter demanding markets.

In strict compliance with national regulations, Sigmaplast is authorized by the government agency to export safe wooden pallets (EC-P-035), allowing our customers to trust in the safety of this input that accompanies the flexible packaging that arrives at their companies on a daily basis.
